PART B: VALORISATION PLAN

SECTION I: ESTIMATION OF COSTS

1

Taking into account the rest of the cost evaluation please provide an overall estimation of the total costs for full deployment/production of the R & D result.
… in terms of IPR protection
The invention has received national patents. The inventor intends to license it to interested companies. The license rates will be estimated by negotiation with the interested parties and the scale of application of the Pilot Lab.

…in terms of product development
The costs for the construction of the installation at industrial scale are 260 000 EUR

…in terms of mass production
The Pilot Lab installation is intended for customized use depending on the final product – N2O drinks based on plant extracts or N2O aerated basic drinks like beer, tee, and juice. Thus mass production of the installation is not envisaged.

… in terms of marketing
The Pilot Lab concept has targeted marketing to interested producers of pharmacy products or beverages. It can be done at specialized fairs and other forums for innovative products. The N2O enriched drinks and extracts can be advertised according to the marketing strategy of the producer.

The inventor wants to license the Pilot Lab to beverage producers, thus the cost estimations was made only for the pilot installation, not for industrial scale.

SECTION 2: QUALITATIVE FACTORS

3

Dimension of identified target groups
The Pilot Lab can be used by pharmacy companies or by producers of different beverages – beers, tees, juices, energy drinks, etc.

The consumption of drinks worldwide is increasing due to the good marketability of the product and the relatively easy development of novel drinks by combining tastes, flavors and additional substances for new effects. The N2O aerated functional drinks are expected to attract consumers from the age range of 18 – 65.

4

Evaluation of financial Risks for R&D result
The N2O gasification of drinks can be copied by non-licensed producers to develop similar products. They will be not able to copy the original recipes of the phytoextracts used in the drinks, which are protected by patent or are company’s secret know-how.
