SECTION I: ESTIMATION OF COSTS

 

1 Taking into account the rest of the cost evaluation please provide an overall estimation of the total costs for full deployment/production of the R & D result.

SECTION 2: QUALITATIVE FACTORS

 

3 Dimension of identified target groups
The product can target multiple target groups:

-        farmers, big producers of agricultural products (e.g. fruit trees) that are suitable for treatment from the air

-        trasnportation between islands, e.g. Greece. These ecranoplanes are suitable for private use for transport over sea (not big distances, distances up to 800 – 1000 km, e.g. the Greek islands), deserts, etc. Citizens from the middle class could fall in the target group.

 

 

4 Evaluation of financial Risks for R&D result
The investment would hold an average risk. The prototypes have not been tested yet. They are to prove if the features claimed by the researcher are in place or if the aircraft needs further R&D and improvements to reach the target parametres.

SECTION 3: FINAL EVALUATION

It is requested a final evaluation considering the funding opportunities you believe most suitable for the exploitation of the R&D result, considering the possibility of the creation of a spin-off, further research, in particular, a cost/benefit analysis and a financial projection for the R&D result, type of collaboration identified (i.e. Licensing Agreement, Technical Cooperation, Joint Venture, Manufacturing Agreement, Commercial Agreement with Technical Assistance, Creation of a spin-off, Joint further development)…
For the commercialisation of the R&D result a combination of funding sources could be used:

-        EU funding for the production and testing of the two prototypes to determine the strength parametres and the flying parametres of the aircraft. This would cost about 100 – 120 000 EUR.

-        If the test results prove to be satisfactory, mass production could be organised by using private investments, or risk capital (in Bulgaria Venture Capital funds are very limited though). OP Competitiveness provides support for innovative start-ups – this R&D result has good chances to qualify for a successful project.
