Description
“The electromechanical system for automatic coupling-decoupling of brushes” is an assembly used on wound-rotor induction motors.
Functionally, after finishing the start of asynchronous electrical motor, the electromechanical system for automatic coupling – decoupling, by its components and by a specific kinematics, shortens the slip rings, after which it follows the lifting of brushes on the rings.
After the stopping of motors, with a view of their preparation for a new start, the electromechanical system for automatic coupling – decoupling of brushes descends the brushes on the slip rings, after which it follows their unshortcircuiting.
The two above described functions are carried out by a logistics correlated with the functions of starter rheostat.
