The company designs and builds prototypes, starting from the 3D CAD modelling, through innovative and cutting-edge technologies to meet market needs in the field of ceramic sanitary production at National and European level. The prototype is tested before release through standard procedures according to relevant regulations: En997, AS 1172, EN 14688, etc.. The next step is the introduction of the product, that  will be purchased by companies  and them it will be  industrialized and commercialized.
1b. Please describe and discuss the testing results
These tests are done by machines that can test the efficiency of sanitary ceramics. The tests are:
WASH BOWL OF UNI 997; FLUSHING OF TOILETPAPER UNI 997; FLUSHING OF 50 SMALL PLASTICBALLS UNI 997; OVER splashing UNI-997; FLUSHAFTER VOLUME UNI 997; SOLID AND AFTERDISCHARGE -FLUSH FLUSH MAXIMUM VOLUMEFOR THE UNI 997; PAPER DISCHARGE FOR THEREDUCED FLUSH VOLUME UNI 997; contaminant LIQUID DYE RETENTION UNI 997; WASH BOWL OFUNI997;  TEST OF THE VOLUME OF A RINSE DRAIN THE  CASE, TEST FOR VACUUM SEALING WC;STATIC LOAD TEST ON HEALTH AND BOWLS; TEST OF REACH OF DRAIN ON ALL KINDS OF HEALTH;ENAMEL BY ABRASION TEST WHEEL OF A POWDER CORUNDUM AND RETENTION OF TESTS OF THE DYE    WHICH SIMULATES   THE CONTAMINANT  LIQUID ; WASH TEST OF THE BASIN, TESTING  OF SPRAY OUTSIDE THE VESSEL; TEST OF DISCHARGE OF PAPER TOILET.
However the main result achieved by the prototypes is to provide a low cost and effective products in terms of reliability and functionality through a mechanized system that can realize a rapid prototyping with the surface finish desired.

 SECTION 2: Current Stage of Development

2a

To what extent does the development team have technical resources for supporting the production of a new product? (Researchers, human resources, hardware, etc. )
The company is mainly composed by a team of research, development and design of the prototype models of bathroom ceramic, to create and implement cutting-edgeitems from both an aesthetic and functional-performance. Necessary for the maintenance of the company’s potential is the ongoing training and research innovation, as well as constant updating of production materials.

What are the technical issues that need to be tackled for full deployment, if needed?
Currently, the development of the product is highly advantageous since it allows:

  • a drastic reduction of production time,
  • speeding through the entire production process,
  • energy savings not only as a convenience to the specific. Company  but also in terms of environmental impact.

What additional technical resources are needed for the production of this new product?
Currently the technical equipment for the construction of the product appears to be sufficient, but given the constant evolution of hardware and software instrumentation, further updates will be needed in the computer programs and tools, as well as new technical skills of the developers themselves.

Overall assessment of the current stage of technical development.
At present it has reached a very high technical competence taking into account  the considerable advantages that this method of production provides to  the end user.

 SECTION 3: Deployment

Define the demands for large scale production in terms of
  • Materials
The material for the realization of the product may be the plaster or the resin, however, readily available materials on the market at relatively low cost which in turn allow a marketing on a national scale but also International of the product itself.There aren’t any specific demands towards the raw material implemented.
  • technologies, tools, machineries
For the production of material the company uses mainly computer equipment with specific software solutions and instrumentation capable of transforming the idea in graphic design digital model through a real-cutter or rapid prototyping 3D printer that builds accurate models layer using durable ABS plastic
  • Staff effort
The company has the capacity to develop and provide technical staff to control, including the labour required for the finished product. It is  important  the continuous training of all staff for making more efficient the employment  of new technologies, necessary for  remaining  competitive in the field of prototype.

SECTION 4: Overall Assessment

What is you overall assessment of the technical feasibility of the research result?
The use of this innovative process in prototyping  the sanitary elements in addition to allowing an economic saving to the end user, the environmental respect and a considerable energy saving, will also provide a development of the same prototype in accordance with the technical solutions, technological and regulations for cutting edge internationally, to support the customer in a possible trade policy aimed at an international market.
