Many activation devices for electric supplies are known that are used as immobilisers or anti-theft devices.

What is the problem/need/knowledge gap that the research result is responding to?  How was it addressed before?
The systems known for application to an electric bicycle or for other low-cost electric means were very expensive.

What is the potential for further research?
Possible improvements in terms of invasiveness of the product in order to make it applicable to the machine, and in terms of safety in general.

What is the proposed method of IPR-protection? (patent, license, trademark etc.)
The idea was already protected by an Italian Patent application and by a PCT patent application

What are the steps that need to be taken in order to secure the IPR-protection? What is the cost of IPR-protection?
The group is evaluating how to use/commercialize the product and the national phases of the PCT patent application will reflect that decision

What is your overall assessment of the scientific maturity of the research result?
It is ready to be produced and commercialized
