1 Taking into account the rest of the cost evaluation please provide an overall estimation of the total costs for full deployment/production of the R & D result.
… in terms of IPR protection
An industrial design application is required to complement the patented digester. The cost of industrial application IPR to OVI : application cost 500 euro file preparation cost: 1500 euro
…in terms of product development
The cost  for further development of the industrial design consist of:

An H2 –  microbiologist  4000€/per month

Purchase of  VHF measurement unit: 45000€

Purchase of a partial pressure measurement unit: 3000€

Consumables: 5000€ per year

…in terms of mass production
There is no intention for mass production
… in terms of marketing
In order to establish market leadership the following marketing actions are required:

Awareness campaign for the benefits of the investment in energy from organic materials (Publications in newspapers, press conferences, newsletters, seminars, workshops ) 5000 euro

Promotion campaign for the competitive advantage over the foreign competitors (advertisements in printed mass media) 10000 euro

 SECTION 2: QUALITATIVE FACTORS

4 Dimension of identified target groups
Detailed comment

Industrial heavy producers of CO2,  cement, metal, energy —nr 10,  target 50 %

Organic waste producers (agro-industry, livestock industry, food industry, olive mills)—nr 10000 target 5%

Alternative energy invertors 100  target 10%

Municipal sector —  300 target 1%

6 Evaluation of financial Risks for R&D result
There is a very small financial risk involved, since all research and technological risks have been resolved by the laboratory. Since the laboratory has already signed contracts with private sector for industrial designs the market risk is also minimal considering the relative small investment required.

SECTION 3: IDENTIFICATION OF FINANCING SOURCES

After evaluating all the above mentioned criteria, please tick the best financing source for the achievement of R&D result

(i.e. own capitals, banking credits, venture capital, business angels, etc)

1.  European Funding

Define relevance of the product with the following potential funding sources and comment

FP7 research frameworks

FP7 environment, food,

FP7agriculture biotechnology,

FP7energy

2       National Funding
Alternative energy programs

Development law

Synergasia

3       Private funding
Joint ventures with industrial organizations
4      Other

SECTION 3: FINAL EVALUATION

It is requested a final evaluation considering the funding opportunities you believe most suitable for the exploitation of the R&D result, considering the possibility of the creation of a spin-off, further research, in particular, a cost/benefit analysis and a financial projection for the R&D result, type of collaboration identified (i.e. Licensing Agreement, Technical Cooperation, Joint Venture, Manufacturing Agreement, Commercial Agreement with Technical Assistance, Creation of a spin-off, Joint further development)…

Lienced agreements with industry are the most suitable source of financing. The market development could be speeded by a small financing (97.000€) from EU or national programs or through a joint development with private sector through a spin-off company.

Decision of evaluation (Please tick  as appropriate)

X The R&D has a high potential of exploitation
The R&D result needs minor revisions
The R&D result needs moderate revisions
The R&D result needs major revisions
The R&D result has no potential of exploitation
