IP protection



Please provide a short description of the state-of-the-art and/or current trends in the field? How does the result fit into it?
The construction companies are using very different types of scaffolds. There are standardized parts in various systems for assembling scaffolds. Any scaffold have to have the two main characteristics: (1) fast assembly and once it is assembled (2) safety.



What is the problem/need/knowledge gap that the research result is responding to?  How was it addressed before?
Through it unique system for assembling and disassembling, this invention has been tackling both main characteristics. The grooves system is offering very fast, almost tools free assembly and disassembly process. This would contribute for higher flexibility and lower cost for assembly, disassembly and rent.



What is the potential for further research?
This invention requires additional external funds for testing. It is currently in a concept phase, lacking a model and actual testing results. If this phase is successful, preparation of mold will be necessary.

What are the steps that need to be taken in order to secure the IPR-protection? What is the cost of IPR-protection?

The invention is still not developed enough for patenting.




What is you overall assessment of the scientific maturity of the research result?

The invention is in a very early stage of research and testing. It might have some scientific potential and its main strength is the low projected research and testing cost, as well as the high improvement of the efficiency.
