|1||Please provide a short description of the state-of-the-art and/or current trends in the field? How does the result fit into it?|
|The emerged education is an extremely important method in knowledge development. Only a few Hungarian companies deals with educational software (e.g.: oktatasiszoftver.hu), but they have no economic-related program as product. The abstract thinking competency always will be necessary. There is a need for it by students and teachers, but there is lack of financial support to buy such programmes.
The solution relates to a simulation tool that can be used in education and in analysing real situations. In the prior art a simulation program is known, with the help of which the real analysis of the “household budget” can be realised.
The applied Goodwin model, sometimes called Goodwin’s class struggle model, is a model of endogenous economic fluctuations first proposed by the American economist Richard M. Goodwin in 1967. It combines aspects of the Harrod–Domar growth model with the Phillips curve to generate endogenous cycles in economic activity (output, unemployment, wages) unlike most modern macroeconomic models in which movements in economic aggregates are driven by exogenously assumed shocks. Since Goodwin’s publication in 1967 the model has been extended and applied in various ways.
At international level there is a diversified market (universities, colleges), but the effective demand is much higher than in Hungary.
|2||What is the problem/need/knowledge gap that the research result is responding to? How was it addressed before?|
|Understanding and modeling the macro-economic context supports the education of law-abiding citizens. Tax evasion is a serious problem in Hungary and modeling large financial systems is very difficult because of the complicated and robust nature of such systems, and so far no quick and efficient simulation solution has been provided for their analysis.|
|3||What is the potential for further research?|
|The solution has been appropriately elaborated. It is demonstrated by that – according to the creator’s report – it is already used by a large multinational economy analysing company in its daily activity. Also, recently it has been used in Hungary for simulation when planning the budget.
The possibility of further development lies in network operation, as a result of which numerous participants having different independent interests can take part in the simulation, basically realising by this a real economic environment.
By the way, there are many possibilities. One is the introduction of network operation. The target audience can be varied as giving the player the possibility to try different roles in the economy. It can be also distributed as a This is a free software to help economic literacy similarly as EU has an important program for the digital literacy.
|4||What is the proposed method of IPR-protection? (patent, license, trademark etc.)|
|It has registered already by the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office as SIPP. It may also be worth submitting a trademark application relating to education and analysis based on the given software.

|5||What are the steps that need to be taken in order to secure the IPR-protection? What is the cost of IPR-protection?|
|The elaborator of the solution has registered the solution in the voluntary register of works, which definitely makes it possible to justify use. The cost of submitting a patent application in the USA amounts to USD 1,600-2,400.
The cost of submitting a trademark application is HUF 240,000. (SIPP HUF 5,000)
The rights may be extended within the prescribed deadline.

|With the help of the software algorithm real economic processes can be modelled, which is a significant progress as compared to the present solutions.
