PART B: VALORISATION PLAN

SECTION I: ESTIMATION OF COSTS

1

Taking into account the rest of the cost evaluation please provide an overall estimation of the total costs for full deployment/production of the R & D result.
… in terms of IPR protection
Software can’t be protected with IPR.

…in terms of product development
WIRM still needs 24 months of software development and validation: this work can be realized with 1 SW developer, 1 mathematical modeler and 1 GIS expert.

…in terms of mass production
Not relevant

… in terms of marketing
Sales strategy must be defined: different options (license, sale of services) involve different costs .

Based on the above assessment as well as the marketing information please provide the correct estimation of thepriceforR&Dproduct in correlation with costs

SECTION 2: QUALITATIVE FACTORS

3

Dimension of identified target groups
WIRM target groups are both public administrations and private companies. The consistency of these groups is very large, because this product/service can be offered at European and global level.

4

Evaluation of financial Risks for R&D result
The estimated cost is around 100.000 €, due to software development.

SECTION 3: IDENTIFICATION OF FINANCING SOURCES

After evaluating all the above mentioned criteria, please tick the best financing source for the achievement of R&D result (i.e. own capitals, banking credits, venture capital, business angels, etc)

1. European Funding

Define relevance of the product with the following potential funding sources and comment

1.

2. National Funding

  1. 1.

3. Private funding

  1. 1.  Venture capital for the development
  2. 2.  Business angel
  3. 3.  Own capital for investments

4. Other

SECTION 3: FINAL EVALUATION

It is requested a final evaluation considering the funding opportunities you believe most suitable for the exploitation of the R&D result, considering the possibility of the creation of a spin-off, further research, in particular, a cost/benefit analysis and a financial projection for the R&D result, type of collaboration identified (i.e. Licensing Agreement, Technical Cooperation, Joint Venture, Manufacturing Agreement, Commercial Agreement with Technical Assistance, Creation of a spin-off, Joint further development)…
WIRM is a software tool that operates on a GIS platform with advanced statistical and mathematical models on probability calculations to evaluate the impact among fauna and handmade constructions.

GREEN SOLUTIONS is present on market from January 2011, with jobs for Friuli Venezia Giulia airport and for project Somplago-Wurmlach oriented to interaction analysis between fauna and human activities. In such application it was necessary to evaluate the probability impact between fauna and power line structures. The same algorithms have also been used to estimate the probability impact among the Griffon vulture and wind-power generators located inside the home range area.

WIRM can be used for analysis oriented to realization of human infrastructures: these characteristics seem to give a good opportunity to enter the market.
