PART B: VALORISATION PLAN
1 |
Please provide a short description of the state-of-the-art and/or current trends in the field? How does the result fit into it? |
Wireless transmission and reception methods and the relative transceivers apparatuses are known such as for example Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). Such methods and apparatuses can be used in a predetermined area substantially limited in which normal radio frequencies have not adequate performance. Moreover, in such known methods, the transmission and reception is based on a communication protocol normally in conformity with ISO-OSI model (International Standard Organization – Open System Interconnection).
|
2 |
What is the problem/need/knowledge gap that the research result is responding to? How was it addressed before? |
A transmission and reception method according to the present invention is used for the wireless transmission and reception of signals between a first transceiver device and at least a second transceiver device. The transmission and reception method provides a step of distributing a plurality of intermediate transceiver devices disposed in a non uniform manner between the first and the second device so as to form a chain or strip of linear transmission and reception.
|
3 |
What is the potential for further research? |
The idea behind WiWi can be extended to other particular, non-linear, topologies. In the published papers tree topologies have already be considered, although never tested with the prorotype. For example, rings, fault-tolerant double rings, grids could be studied.
|
4 |
What is the proposed method of IPR-protection? (patent, license, trademark etc.) |
It is already a P.C.T. application.
|
5 |
What are the steps that need to be taken in order to secure the IPR-protection? What is the cost of IPR-protection? |
It is already a P.C.T. application. The costs of further protection depend on where the application will be confirmed as national or regional phases.
|
6 |
What is you overall assessment of the scientific maturity of the research result? |
Based on the PCT patent search report all the filed claims are patentable being based on novelty and inventive step.
